The launch took place at a special programme at the University of Dhaka.

The National Startup and Entrepreneurship Platform is a digital initiative aimed at integrating the innovative ideas, creativity and entrepreneurial potential of the country's youth into the mainstream of national development. It provides a single point of access to government support programmes, application services, training, mentoring, investment opportunities and other essential services for entrepreneurs.

The launch event featured a documentary on Bangladesh's startup ecosystem, an experience-sharing session with successful startup founders, and an open discussion with university students. The Prime Minister also distributed grant cheques among six selected entrepreneurs.
What is the government's vision for startup and entrepreneurship development?
The government has accorded special importance to startup and entrepreneurship development in its Election Manifesto 2026 to accelerate economic growth, create employment and promote technological transformation. A Tk 500 crore Startup Fund has been formed to finance and support promising innovative ventures.
