DHL Express Bangladesh has taken a major step towards sustainable logistics by adding 18 fully electric Dongfeng cargo vans to its fleet. The vehicles, delivered by RangsX, the future mobility unit of Rangs Group, represent one of the largest deployments of electric commercial vehicles in Bangladesh. The handover ceremony took place at the Rangs Assembly Plant on July 8, highlighting the growing momentum behind electric mobility in the country.
A Milestone for Bangladesh's EV Ecosystem
Ahmed Shahriar Anwar, CEO of Rangs Group's Automotive Division, described the delivery as a milestone for Bangladesh's electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. 'The handover of these 18 fully electric cargo vans is more than the completion of a commercial agreement—it represents a new chapter in Bangladesh's electric mobility journey,' he said. The trust placed in RangsX by a global company like DHL is seen as a strong endorsement of the company's capabilities in the EV space.
Commitment to Greener Logistics
Mohammad Miarul Haque, Managing Director of DHL Express Bangladesh, emphasized the company's commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions. 'The addition of fully electric cargo vans to our fleet marks an important milestone in our sustainability journey in Bangladesh and reinforces our commitment to greener logistics,' he said. The initiative aligns with Bangladesh's efforts to expand EV adoption and reduce carbon emissions while promoting sustainable commercial transportation.
