Police in Khulna recovered the floating body of a missing madrasa student from Mayuri Residential Lake on Thursday. The deceased, identified as Soaeb, son of Hasib Mia from Boyra Cross Road in Sonadanga, was a student at a local madrasa. Soaeb had a habit of leaving home without informing anyone and went missing on Wednesday afternoon.

Disappearance and Search

According to Sub-Inspector Jahangir Molla of Harintana Police Station, Soaeb left home on Wednesday afternoon and did not return. His family searched for him throughout the night but could not find him. Local residents discovered his body floating in the lake around 9 am on Thursday and informed the police.

Preliminary Investigation

Preliminary information suggests Soaeb may have slipped into the lake while attempting to enter the water, as he did not know how to swim. The body will be handed over to the family after the completion of necessary legal procedures. Soaeb's parents rushed to the scene upon receiving the news.
