Cox's Bazar experienced the highest rainfall in the past 24 hours, with 83 millimetres, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). The BMD issued a forecast for widespread rain, including light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds across several divisions. Moderately heavy to heavy falls are expected at various locations throughout the country.

The Met office bulletin issued this morning indicates that light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely in the Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. Additionally, such weather conditions may occur at a few places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.

The forecast also warns of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. This comes after Cox's Bazar recorded 83 millimetres of rain in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to slightly decrease across the country.

The highest temperature recorded on Wednesday was 36.5 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur and Chuadanga, while the minimum temperature today was 24.2 degrees Celsius in Bandarban. In Dhaka, the sun sets at 6.34 pm today and rises at 5.33 am tomorrow.

This weather pattern is expected to impact daily activities and agricultural practices across Bangladesh, particularly in regions experiencing heavy rainfall.
