The event, held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, highlighted the need for collaborative efforts between governmental, non-governmental organizations, and the media to disseminate timely and reliable disaster warnings to vulnerable populations. Speakers noted that despite improvements in disaster management, challenges remain in ensuring that warnings reach and are acted upon by those most at risk, including women, children, the elderly, and marginalized communities. The dialogue also discussed the importance of accurate weather forecasts and the role of the media in promoting awareness and preparedness.
