Two Teens Killed, One Injured in Rajshahi Truck-Motorcycle Collision

A tragic road accident in Rajshahi district has claimed the lives of two teenagers.

Two teenagers were killed and another injured when a truck collided with their motorcycle in front of Kesharhat Degree College in Mohanpur upazila of Rajshahi on Friday night. The accident occurred at around 8:30pm when a truck heading towards Rajshahi hit the motorcycle from behind and fled the scene.

Mohanpur Fire Service Leader Rezwan Mondal reported that the three people on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries. A team from Mohanpur Fire Service arrived at the scene, rescued the injured, and took them to Mohanpur Upazila Health Complex.

Limon, 16, died on the spot, while Ratul Mia, 15, was declared dead at the health complex. The injured Swadhin Mia, 17, was referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) for further treatment. Additional superintendent of Mohanpur police, Helena Akhtar, confirmed the incident.

Police have seized the truck involved in the accident, but the driver and helper managed to escape. Efforts are currently underway to arrest them.
