In a significant operation, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an alleged drug dealer couple with 353 bottles of various brands of banned drugs from Purbaparpugi village under Sadar police station in Thakurgaon district. Acting on a tip-off, a team from the RAB-13's Dinajpur Camp searched a house in the village and seized 183 bottles of phensedyl, 117 bottles of phensedyl-like ESkuf, and 13 bottles of MKdyl syrup. The detainees, identified as Md Korban Ali, 41, and his wife, Jasmine Khatun, 27, were arrested around 3:30 am. Following the arrest, a case was filed, and the couple along with the seized drugs were handed over to Thakurgaon Sadar police station.
The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb the illegal drug trade in the region.
