AFWC-2026 Trainee Officers Engage in Interactive Session at Bangladesh Police HQ

A group of 62 trainee officers from the Armed Forces War Course (AFWC)-2026 visited the Police Headquarters in Dhaka as part of their training at the National Defence College.

DHAKA - Today, the Police Headquarters in Dhaka welcomed a delegation of 62 trainee officers from the Armed Forces War Course (AFWC)-2026, who are currently undergoing training at the National Defence College (NDC) in Mirpur Cantonment. The visit, organized under the AFWC-2026 programme, aimed to provide the trainee officers with insights into the operations and heritage of the Bangladesh Police.

Leading the delegation was Brigadier General Mohammad Nazmul Haque, Chief Instructor (CI) of the AFWC. The trainee officers engaged in an interactive session with senior Bangladesh Police officials at the Hall of Pride, chaired by Additional Inspector General Md. Musfequr Rahman.

Deputy Inspector General (HR) Mohammad Ashfaqul Alam delivered a briefing on the history, heritage, mission, and vision of the Bangladesh Police. He highlighted the force's significant contributions during the Liberation War, its role in maintaining internal security and law and order, and its distinguished service in United Nations peacekeeping missions.

A documentary showcasing the overall activities of the Bangladesh Police was screened for the visiting officers. They also had the opportunity to exchange views with senior police officials on current operations, future challenges, and contemporary policing issues.

Additional Inspector General Md. Musfequr Rahman emphasized the collaborative efforts between the Armed Forces and the Bangladesh Police during national emergencies and crises. He expressed hope that such visits would further strengthen the longstanding professional relationship and cooperation between the two entities. On behalf of the visiting delegation, the trainee officers extended their gratitude to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the police authorities for the warm reception and hospitality.
