156 Arrested in Anti-Crime Operations Across Dhaka's Tejgaon and Motijheel

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted anti-crime drives in Tejgaon and Motijheel divisions, resulting in the arrest of 156 individuals.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested a total of 156 individuals in separate anti-crime operations conducted by its Tejgaon and Motijheel divisions across crime-prone areas of the capital on Tuesday. According to DMP, 74 individuals were arrested by the Tejgaon Division, including those accused in regular criminal cases, warrant-listed fugitives, and individuals allegedly involved in various offenses. Meanwhile, the Motijheel Division arrested 82 individuals during similar operations. All arrested individuals were produced before the competent courts after the completion of necessary legal procedures.

In the Tejgaon Division, arrests were made in several police station areas: six from Tejgaon Police Station, 13 from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, 28 from Mohammadpur, 13 from Adabor, four from Tejgaon Industrial Area, and 10 from Hatirjheel police station areas. The Motijheel Division's arrests included individuals from Paltan Police Station (11), Shahjahanpur (15), Khilgaon (17), Rampura (10), Mugda (six), Motijheel (11), and Sabujbagh (12) police station areas.

The operations targeted individuals involved in regular criminal activities, those listed on warrants, and persons allegedly engaged in various criminal offenses. The DMP's efforts reflect a continued focus on maintaining law and order in the capital. The significance of these arrests lies in the ongoing efforts to reduce criminal activities and enhance public safety in Dhaka.

All individuals arrested were processed according to legal procedures before being presented to the relevant courts. This action underscores the DMP's commitment to ensuring that those involved in criminal activities face justice.
