At least ten workers sustained burn injuries in an incident that occurred today at the Confidence Salt factory at Boalkhali upazila in Chattogram. All injured individuals were taken to the burn unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where eight of the workers are in critical condition. SI Alauddin from the CMCH police outpost reported that the workers were burned while performing their duties at the factory in the West Gomdandi area of Boalkhali municipality this morning. Fire Service and relevant authorities are currently investigating to ascertain the precise cause of the incident and the extent of the damage.
