Five people were injured in a knife attack at New York City's Penn Station on Sunday evening. The New York Fire Department reported that one person was critically injured, two had moderate injuries, and two had minor injuries. The attacker fled the scene but was later apprehended by the New York Police Department. The incident occurred amid heightened security due to President Donald Trump's visit to the city for an NBA game. Law enforcement sources indicated the attack was random and without motive. The suspect, reportedly suffering from mental health issues, was arrested by Amtrak police. The victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital. The police have not disclosed the identities of the victims or the possible motive behind the attack. Investigations are ongoing.
