The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has now claimed 600 lives, according to figures published by the World Health Organization (WHO). This grim milestone was reached only three days after the death toll surpassed 500. The outbreak, declared in mid-May, has seen 1,759 confirmed cases in the DRC, with 600 confirmed deaths.
