Tamim Iqbal has been elected as the president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) with a new board of 25 directors.

Tamim Iqbal has been elected as the president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) with a new board of 25 directors. The new board includes 12 directors from clubs, 10 from districts and divisions, one from various organizations, and two nominated by the National Sports Council (NSC).

Tamim received the highest votes in the club category with 73 out of 74 votes. Fahim Sinha from Abahani Club was elected as the vice-president. Other notable directors include Israffil Khosru and Said Ibrahim Ahmed, who received 72 votes each, and Masuduz Zaman with 70 votes.

Several first-time directors were elected, including Asif Rabbani, Yasir Abbas, Sakiff Ahmed, and Mahbub Ahmed Shamim. Directors from districts and divisions include representatives from Barisal, Khulna, Dhaka, Chittagong, Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Sylhet.

The NSC nominated two additional directors: Sheikh Mohammad Ruhul Amin and Sarfaraz Ahmed Arafat Rahman Koko. The new board will determine cricket policies for the next four years.
