Tamim Iqbal has been elected as the new president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). He received the highest number of votes in the governing board election and was elected unopposed. The Election Commission announced this news.

Following the election, Tamim was elected as the president at the governing board meeting. Fahim Sinha was elected as the vice-president. Although two vice-presidents were supposed to be elected, the Election Commission has only announced one name so far.
