Bangladesh national women's football team star forward Rituparna Chakma has received financial assistance from Prime Minister Tareq Rahman for house construction. The grant was handed over during a budget session at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Deputy Ministers Aminul Haque (Youth and Sports), Mir Helal Uddin (Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs), and Shariful Alam (Textiles and Jute), along with Bangladesh Football Federation President Tabith Awal, were present during the ceremony.
Rituparna expressed her gratitude, stating, 'I am truly delighted and grateful to receive financial assistance for building a house in such a short time. The government's consistent support for athletes is a great example, and I am a living proof of it.'
She further mentioned that the government had previously provided financial aid and medical support during her mother's illness. Rituparna added, 'Such recognition and love increase our responsibilities as athletes. It motivates us to perform better for the country and shine Bangladesh's name on the international stage. I am eternally grateful to the Honorable Prime Minister and everyone involved.'
