The first edition of the Notun Kuri Sports 2025-26 will successfully conclude tomorrow with a closing and award ceremony at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in Dhaka. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be present at the event, which is expected to be a colorful celebration of the sports festival. The competition, which began on May 2, 2026, has seen the participation of over one lakh children and adolescents nationwide. This initiative aims to identify emerging athletes from the grassroots level and inspire young children to engage in sports.
Nationwide Participation
Notun Kuri Sports kicked off simultaneously across the country from the Sylhet District Stadium. The event has been a massive success, engaging young participants in eight different sports: football, cricket, kabaddi, athletics, badminton, chess, swimming, and martial arts.

By fostering grassroots talent and promoting sports among young children, it has set a new benchmark in Bangladesh's sports history.
