Mehedi Hasan Miraz hit a six off Riley Meredith to secure Bangladesh's 5-wicket win, clinching their first-ever ODI series against Australia. Miraz fell ill after being hit on the helmet by a Nathan Ellis delivery but recovered to finish the match. He was taken to Evercare Hospital for observation after the match.
National team physio Bayejidul Islam confirmed Miraz showed signs of concussion and was sent to the hospital for scans and 24-hour observation. Taskin Ahmed, in a post-match press conference, said Miraz appeared fine and there was no cause for concern.
