Lionel Messi was surprised during a post-match jersey swap when an opponent asked if he recognized him. The player turned out to be Daniel Gudjohnsen, son of Eidur Gudjohnsen, Messi's former Barcelona teammate.

Eidur Gudjohnsen played alongside Messi at Barcelona from 2006 to 2009, even sharing the dressing room under Pep Guardiola. Now 47, Gudjohnsen retired from football over a decade ago, while Messi continues to play and is set for his sixth World Cup.

Daniel, 20, played for Iceland in a recent match against Argentina. After the game, he approached Messi for a jersey swap, asking if Messi recognized him. Messi admitted he didn't remember Daniel from their earlier encounters, as Daniel was much younger then.
