Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team continues to struggle in their T20 World Cup preparations, suffering an 8-run defeat against the Netherlands in their second match of the tri-series held in Edinburgh. Despite a valiant 77-run innings by captain Nigar Sultana, the team fell short of the target. This follows their previous 8-wicket loss to Scotland.
The Netherlands Women's team posted a competitive total of 162 for 5 in 20 overs, thanks to Heather Siegers' 52 off 43 balls. Bangladesh's Fariha Islam took 2 wickets for 28 runs. In response, Bangladesh could only manage 154 for 8 in 20 overs, with Nigar Sultana's innings being the highlight. Juiaria Ferdous was the next best scorer with 22 runs.
Bangladesh's next match will be against Scotland on June 2.
