Australia's acting captain Josh Inglis believes the upcoming series will reveal whether Bangladesh's pace attack can outperform Australia's. Bangladesh has recently triumphed in three consecutive ODI series, largely due to their pace bowlers. In contrast, Australia arrives without key pacers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, relying on less experienced bowlers. Inglis expressed confidence in his team's pacers, including Nathan Ellis, Xavier Bartlett, and Ben Dwarshuis, highlighting their potential despite their relative inexperience.
Nahid Rana, Bangladesh's standout pacer, has been particularly impressive, taking 8 wickets in both the Pakistan and New Zealand series. Inglis acknowledged Rana's threat, describing him as a talented and challenging bowler. Additionally, Rishad Hossain, who has experience playing in Australian conditions from the Big Bash League, is expected to play a crucial role in the series. Inglis noted that several Australian players and coaching staff are familiar with Hossain's abilities, indicating that he will be a key focus in their preparations.
