Prime Minister Tarique Rahman reiterated that the BNP government is a government of the people and remains accountable to the citizens. Speaking at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS), he assured the countrymen that the government upholds and respects the aspirations of the people. He emphasized that protecting the lives and property of the people is a sacred responsibility of the government.
Vision for an Accountable State
In his vision for the future, the Prime Minister expressed his desire to build a Bangladesh where the state and government are accountable to the people. He highlighted the need for an inclusive economy and secure, dignified lives for citizens.
People-Friendly Budget
Describing the national budget for fiscal 2026-27 as "life-oriented and people-friendly," the Prime Minister noted that independent and analytical organizations had acknowledged its people-centric nature. He stressed the importance of cooperation from public administration, private institutions, and the public to ensure the benefits of the budget reach the general populace.
