Mirza Fakhrul Confirms Bangladesh Presidential Election Will Proceed as Scheduled

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the BNP Secretary General and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister, assured today that the presidential election will proceed on time, in accordance with the Constitution. His comments came after inaugurating the divisional office of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) in Rangpur.

Speaking to journalists, Mirza Fakhrul emphasized that the election schedule will be maintained as per constitutional requirements. The inauguration event, held at the wholesale fish market area on RK Road near the Rangpur Central Bus Terminal, was marked by a colorful ceremony.

As the chief guest, Mirza Fakhrul unveiled the plaque to officially open the Rangpur divisional BRDB office. He further noted that the nominations for the presidential post would be decided based on the party's internal decision-making process.

The ceremony was attended by several key officials, including Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam, Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Md Shamsuzzaman Samu, District Council Administrator Md Saiful Islam, Rangpur City Corporation Administrator Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Chowdhury Don, and other higher officials of BRDB and BNP leaders and activists.

The assurance from Mirza Fakhrul comes amid ongoing preparations for the election, highlighting the importance of adhering to constitutional timelines and processes.
