Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Ghulam Parwar today emphasized that the party supports friendly and fair relations with all neighbouring countries in line with Bangladesh's national interest. Parwar made the remarks while addressing journalists after speaking at the party's members' conference at the Narsingdi Shishu Academy auditorium.

'Bangladesh's interest gets priority to Jamaat. We support friendly and fair relations with all neighbouring countries in line with Bangladesh's national interest,' Parwar stated.

He alleged that New Delhi exerts influence over Bangladesh's politics, economy, business, and cultural affairs. Parwar also accused India of violating the Geneva Conventions, prisoner exchange laws, and other international legal norms by allowing a death-row convict to stay in Delhi and use various technological facilities.

Regarding the ousted Hasina, Parwar noted that the matter is currently before the International Crimes Tribunal and that the government and the court would decide the issue in accordance with the law. He expressed hope that the outcome would reflect the expectations of the people.

Parwar claimed that incidents of killing, torture, and child rape have increased and alleged that the government's response to flood victims, including relief distribution, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts, has been inadequate. He also referred to what he called the 'July Revolution,' stating that the public still upholds its spirit and would never accept the return of what he described as 'fascist forces.'

The conference was chaired by Narsingdi district Jamaat organiser Md Ibrahim Bhuiyan, with central executive council member Saiful Alam Khan Milon and central working committee members Maulana A F M Abdus Sattar and Mashiul Alam present as special guests. A workshop for the district's Rukon members was held before the conference.
