Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested seven leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies from various areas of the city. The arrests were made during the last 24 hours through separate operations. This action follows the interim government's ban on all activities of the party and its affiliated or associate bodies after the July Mass uprising.

Details of the Arrests

According to a press release from the media and public relations division of DMP, one individual was arrested in each of the following police station areas: Shyampur, Mohammadpur, Pallabi, Khilkheet, and Rupnagar. Additionally, two individuals were apprehended from Uttara East.

Ongoing Operations

The DMP's press release stated that such operations will continue in the future to maintain law and order in the city. The arrests were conducted by six police stations under the DMP.
