BNP Delegation Engages with Democracy International to Enhance Democratic Practices

A delegation from the ruling BNP met with Democracy International to discuss progress in enhancing democratic practices and organizational capacity.

A delegation from the ruling BNP held a meeting with Democracy International (DI) to review progress in enhancing the party's organizational capacity and strengthening internal democratic practices. The meeting also discussed future courses of action.

BNP Chairman’s Adviser and the Prime Minister’s Public Administration Affairs Adviser Md Ismail Zabihullah led the BNP delegation. The delegation included Mymensingh District Council Administrator and BNP’s Joint Secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince, and BNP Training Affairs Secretary ABM Mosharraf Hossain.

DI was represented by its Chief Aminul Ehsan, Senior Director Lipika Biswas, and Senior Manager Md. Rabiul Islam. DI has been providing technical assistance in Bangladesh with support from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

DI works in four core areas: Politics, Governance, Peace & Resilience, and Learning. The organization aims to strengthen democratic practices and the organizational capacity of democratic institutions in Bangladesh.

The meeting signifies ongoing efforts to enhance democratic practices and institutional capacity in Bangladesh, reflecting the importance of international collaboration in fostering democratic development.
