The recruitment process for 382 Forester positions under the Forest Department, which falls under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has been suspended. The application deadline was June 10, but a suspension notice was posted on the Forest Department's official website the very next day. The suspension was due to unavoidable reasons as stated in an office order signed by Chief Conservator of Forest Md. Amir Hossain Chowdhury.

The suspension notice has caused severe disappointment and frustration among unemployed youth. Assistant Chief Conservator of Forest and member of the recruitment committee, Humayun Kabir, stated that applications could be submitted until June 10, but the remaining recruitment process would depend on court orders.
