Applications Open Today for Sergeant Position in Bangladesh Police

The Bangladesh Police has announced the application process for the Sergeant position, starting from today, 8th March 2026.

The Bangladesh Police has published a recruitment notice for the Sergeant position. The application process begins today, 8th March 2026. The selection will be conducted through a five-step process culminating in final training nomination.

Applicants must apply online for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) through http://police.teletalk.com.bd with an application fee of 48 Taka.

Preliminary screening will be based on SSC or equivalent, HSC or equivalent, degree or graduation results, and height. Selected candidates will undergo Physical Measurement Test (PMT), document verification, and PET.

Written, psychological, and computer skill tests will be conducted. Applications for these tests must be submitted via http://police.teletalk.com.bd with a fee of 223 Taka.

The written test includes English and Bangla composition (100 marks, 3 hours). Exam schedules and centers will be communicated via the official police website and SMS to candidates' mobile numbers.

Candidates passing the written, psychological, and computer skill tests will participate in a 50-mark intelligence and oral test. Admit cards can be downloaded from http://police.teletalk.com.bd using USER ID and PASSWORD.

A health examination will be conducted at the Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh, Dhaka. Candidates must submit a completed medical history form online before the exam.

Candidates recommended by the Selection Board, deemed fit in the health exam, and with satisfactory police verification will be nominated for basic training. Selected Sergeants will undergo a 1-year basic training at the Bangladesh Police Academy, Sarda, Rajshahi.
