Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, underscored the critical role teachers must play in safeguarding youth from drug abuse. Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the Student Welfare Council for the 2026 academic year at Rajshahi Government Teachers Training College (TTC), Minu emphasized that teachers are the mirror of society and the backbone of the nation. He called for love, proper education, and discipline to guide students astray back to the right path.
Role of Teachers in Society
Minu highlighted that teachers should not only impart knowledge but also serve as moral guides. He encouraged maintaining good relationships among classmates and showing respect to teachers to build a disciplined educational environment. The minister reminisced about the college's legacy, noting it has produced renowned educationists worldwide, including several family members.
Government Initiatives and Future Plans
The minister mentioned ongoing government efforts to develop the institution, including plans for a multi-storied building, a modern auditorium, and two new dormitories, pending approval from the Ministry of Education. He also promised to enhance the college playground. Minu called upon teachers to restore the college's past glory through dedicated teaching.
