RAJSHAHI - Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) planted saplings of 24 tree species on its campus, embodying the spirit and memory of July. Teachers and students participated in the tree plantation programme organized by Rajshahi City Council.

Event Highlights

Professor Dr Md Rabiul Islam Sarkar, Director of RUET's Directorate of Student Welfare, attended as the chief guest. He emphasized the importance of tree plantation for environmental conservation and encouraged students to plant and nurture more trees.

Commitment to Green Future

The initiative is part of the tree plantation programme announced by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in July. It reflects social responsibility and the commitment of the new generation towards building a greener Bangladesh.

Rajshahi City Council President Talha Bin Kabir highlighted that the symbolic plantation of 24 species represents the spirit of the July movement and a commitment to creating a green future amid growing environmental challenges.
