The first meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad was held today at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan, chaired by committee chairman Mushfiqur Rahman, MP. A comprehensive presentation on the Bangladesh Bank's monetary policy was given, followed by extensive discussions among the committee members.

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, along with Chief Whip Md. Nurul Islam, MP, and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, MP, were among the attendees. The meeting also saw the presence of MPs Md Jalal Uddin, Moinul Islam Khan, Md Shahadat Hossain, Md Saiful Alam, Syed Zainul Abedin, and Md Abul Hasnat.
