Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed hope for further strengthening cooperation between Bangladesh and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He highlighted JICA's significant contributions to the country's infrastructure development, local government system, safe water supply, and various public service sectors.

During a courtesy call by JICA President Dr. TANAKA Akihiko at the Secretariat, the minister underscored JICA's role as one of Bangladesh's largest development partners.
