Two individuals were arrested in separate operations by members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in connection with a murder case and a drug trafficking case in Narail district. Rahman Sheikh, 25, a fugitive murder suspect, was arrested from the Hasamdia area under Boalmari Upazila of Faridpur district. Rahman is the second named accused in the murder of Fakir Alinur of Lohagara Upazila in Narail, allegedly over a money-lending dispute. In a separate operation, Md Hossain Ali, 38, an alleged drug trader, was arrested with 594 bottles of Phensedyl-like Wincanex syrup in the Kharhat area under Kaliganj Upazila of Satkhira district.

The arrest of Rahman Sheikh was carried out by a joint team of RAB-6 CPC-3, Jashore, and RAB-6 Bhatiapara Camp at around 3:00 am. According to RAB, Rahman was involved in the murder of Fakir Alinur, which occurred in Narail. The swift action by RAB highlights their ongoing efforts to combat crime in the region.

In the drug trafficking case, RAB-6 CPC-1 conducted a raid in the Kharhat area and apprehended Md Hossain Ali. The seized Phensedyl-like Wincanex syrup is commonly used as a codeine-based cough syrup, often abused for its psychoactive effects. This arrest underscores the RAB's commitment to curbing drug trade and its associated crimes.

These arrests are part of the broader law enforcement efforts in Bangladesh to maintain public safety and order. The RAB's proactive measures in nabbing fugitives and drug traders contribute significantly to the nation's fight against criminal activities.
