Three Family Members Tragically Electrocuted in Chapainawabganj Village

Three family members tragically died after being electrocuted in Badurtala village of Lakshmipur under Bargharia union in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.

Three members of a family tragically died after being electrocuted in Badurtala village of Lakshmipur under Bargharia union in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila this morning. The deceased were identified as Hasina Begum, 50, her niece Asha Khatun, 28, and Asha's 13-year-old daughter Mim.

According to family members, Hasina Begum came into contact with an electrified iron railing inside the house while attempting to go up to the roof. Hearing her cries, Asha Khatun and her daughter Mim rushed to rescue her but were also electrocuted. All three died at the scene.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Model Police Station Md. Ekramul Hossain confirmed the incident and said that police had recovered the bodies from the scene after receiving information. He added that legal procedures in connection with the incident are underway.

The tragic incident highlights the dangers of inadequate electrical safety measures in residential areas. Such accidents underline the need for regular safety checks and awareness programs to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
