Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and Rajshahi Water and Sewerage Authority (RWASA) have pledged to collaborate for the improvement of civic services and the promotion of sustainable urban development in Rajshahi. The commitment was expressed during a courtesy meeting between the newly appointed RWASA Managing Director, Harun-or-Rashid, and RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton.
Strengthening Civic Services
During the meeting held at the Administrator's office in Nagar Bhaban, both sides discussed various aspects of infrastructural development in Rajshahi metropolis. Key topics included ensuring a safe water supply, improving the quality of civic services, and enhancing coordination between RCC and RWASA.
RWASA's Managing Director praised RCC's initiatives aimed at creating a clean, green, and well-planned Rajshahi. He sought RCC's cooperation to further elevate the quality of RWASA's services.
Commitment to Sustainable Development
RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman emphasized the importance of delivering the best possible services to the people. He highlighted the need for close coordination among all relevant institutions to ensure sustainable development and the civic welfare of Rajshahi.
Mahfuzur Rahman assured RWASA of RCC's full cooperation in implementing development projects and service activities. The meeting was also attended by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Special Metropolitan Magistrate Faysal Tareq, and several engineers from both institutions.
