Rajshahi City Corporation Provides 155 Advanced CCTV Cameras to Boost Security

Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has handed over 155 advanced CCTV cameras to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) to enhance security and monitor traffic in the city.

To ensure the security of Rajshahi city residents, curb crime, monitor vehicular movement, and build a digitally secured city, Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has handed over 155 state-of-the-art CCTV cameras to the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP). The handover ceremony took place at the conference room of the RMP Commissioner's office, where RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton formally handed over the cameras to RMP Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir.

Commitment to Security and Civic Services

RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton emphasized the importance of working based on the demands of the people. He stated, 'We want to work based on the demands of the people. The state-of-the-art CCTV cameras have been provided for the security of city dwellers. We will work collectively to build a safe and peaceful metropolis. The RCC will continue to provide necessary cooperation to the RMP.'

Enhancing Law Enforcement and Public Safety

RMP Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir highlighted the role of the new CCTV cameras in preventive and detective policing. He said, 'The state-of-the-art CCTV cameras provided by the RCC will play an important role in preventive and detective policing and strengthen the security system for citizens.' The modern technology-equipped cameras will be installed at important roads, intersections, and crowded places in Rajshahi metropolis.

The installation of these cameras is expected to strengthen round-the-clock surveillance, improve crime prevention, enhance the law and order situation, manage traffic more effectively, and enable rapid response in emergency situations.
