Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu announced the construction of a special memorial monument to honor the martyrs of the July mass uprising in Rajshahi. Speaking at a discussion meeting organized by the Rajshahi Mass Uprising '24 Parishad, Minu emphasized the need to preserve the memory of the sacrifices made during the uprising. The monument will be built to commemorate the indomitable spirit of the student-people's struggle against fascism.

Commitment to Martyrs' Families

Minister Minu assured that the government is committed to ensuring proper medical treatment for those injured during the movement. A specialized hospital, with assistance from the Chinese government, is being established for advanced treatment. Additionally, arrangements have been made to send those needing further treatment abroad to countries like Singapore, Thailand, or Malaysia.

Financial and Social Security

Regarding the social and financial security of the martyr families, Minu stated that long-term financial security plans are being formulated. Special priority will be given to martyr family members in job examinations, and the administration has been instructed to take appropriate measures to support them.

Building a New Bangladesh

Minu emphasized that the new Bangladesh must be built through good behavior and patriotism, rather than through politics of revenge. The discussion meeting also featured speeches from Dr. Iftikharul Alam Masud, Mahbub Siddiqui, Prof Rafiqul Islam, Advocate Md. Abul Kashem, and Advocate Ershad Ali Isha.
