Bangladesh: Rain or Thundershowers Expected in 8 Divisions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country within the next 24 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are expected in various parts of Bangladesh over the next 24 hours, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). The forecast indicates light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in several divisions. These weather conditions are likely to bring relief from the ongoing heat and may lead to a slight drop in day and night temperatures.

Divisions Affected

The BMD's bulletin specifies that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Additionally, a few places in Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions may also experience these weather conditions. The rain is expected to be moderately heavy to heavy in some areas.

Temperature and Rainfall Details

The highest temperature recorded on Wednesday was 35.8 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi under the Rajshahi division, while the lowest temperature today was 23.3 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. In the last 24 hours till 6am today, Sreemangal recorded the highest rainfall of 46 millimetres. The sun will set at 6:49pm today and rise at 5:21am tomorrow in Dhaka.
