The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light to moderately heavy rain and thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in most parts of the country within the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am. The rain is expected at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.
The Met office bulletin also warned of heavy to very heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
The highest temperature recorded on Thursday was 34.3 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur, while the minimum temperature today was 23.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 83 millimetres was recorded in Cox's Bazar.
The sun is set to rise at 5.25 am and set at 6.46 pm in Dhaka today. Rain during this period could impact daily activities and transportation across the country.
