A man was sentenced to six months' simple imprisonment by the Rajshahi Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court-5 on Sunday in a narcotics case filed with Boalia Police Station. The convict, identified as Jony, 32, son of Naushad of Boubazar area under Boalia Police Station, was found guilty under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.

Case Details

According to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), Jony was arrested in connection with Boalia Model Police Station Case No. 30, filed on July 18, 2026, under Section 36(1), Table 19(a) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018. The case was heard, and after thorough deliberation, the court delivered its verdict, awarding the six-month imprisonment.
