Abdul Kuddus Chowdhury Named Chattogram Range DIG, Zahidul Hasan to Mymensingh

The government has appointed Abdul Kuddus Chowdhury and Mohammad Zahidul Hasan as deputy inspectors general (DIGs) of police for Chattogram and Mymensingh ranges, respectively. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification today announcing the appointments. Abdul Kuddus Chowdhury, previously the commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), will take over as DIG of Chattogram Range. Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, previously the commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), will become the DIG of Mymensingh Range.

Key Appointments and Reshuffles

In addition to the appointments of Chowdhury and Hasan, the notification also mentioned the appointment of Sarwar Murshed Shamim, previously DIG at Police Headquarters, as the new commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP).
