The government has appointed Abdul Kuddus Chowdhury and Mohammad Zahidul Hasan as deputy inspectors general (DIGs) of police for Chattogram and Mymensingh ranges, respectively. Abdul Kuddus Chowdhury, previously the commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), will take over as DIG of Chattogram Range.
