Senior journalist and freedom fighter Kismat Khondokar, a prominent figure in Bangladesh's media landscape, has passed away.

Senior journalist and freedom fighter Kismat Khondokar, a permanent member of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and senior correspondent of banglanews24.com, passed away today. He breathed his last at 7:30pm while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Aftabnagar in the capital, family sources said.

Kismat Khondokar's body will be taken to Mirzapur in Tangail on Thursday morning. After the funeral prayer there, he will be buried in the family graveyard, they said.

The DRU Executive Committee expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death. In a condolence message, DRU President Abu Saleh Akon and General Secretary Mynul Hasan Sohel prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved family.

Kismat Khondokar was a respected journalist known for his dedication and contributions to Bangladesh's media. His passing marks a significant loss to the journalistic community and the nation as a whole.
