Freedom fighter Md Shahajan Sheikh of South Shaildah village in Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat district passed away this morning due to old-age complications at his residence. He was laid to rest with state honour, reflecting his significant contributions to the nation. A guard of honour was accorded to him under the supervision of the Chitalmari upazila administration this afternoon.
