The foundation stone of a new four-storey dakbungalow, to be constructed at a cost of Tk 4.55 crore, was laid today at Morelganj in Bagerhat. Bagerhat District Council Administrator Barrister Sheikh Mohammad Zakir Hossain inaugurated the construction work at a ceremony held on the Dakbungalow premises at noon. Several local dignitaries, including Upazila Executive Officer Habibullah, Bagerhat District BNP Member Secretary Mozaffar Rahman Alam, and others, were present at the function. Following the ceremony, the chief guest planted a tree on the Dakbungalow premises under an initiative of the '90s Student Forum. The new dakbungalow aims to provide improved facilities for visitors and officials in the region.
The project is expected to enhance accommodation options in Bagerhat, catering to both government officials and tourists. The dakbungalow will feature modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay for visitors. The construction is part of ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure in the district, supporting both local and national development goals.
