The father of an eight-year-old girl who was raped and murdered in Pallabi, Dhaka, has expressed satisfaction with the verdict delivered within the timeframe promised by the Prime Minister. He hopes the sentence will be swiftly executed.

'Alhamdulillah, I am 100% happy. However, I want to see the sentence for my daughter's murder carried out swiftly,' he said.

He expressed gratitude to the judge, police administration, journalists, and the general public of Bangladesh for their support during this difficult time.

The court sentenced the accused, Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Akter, to death for the heinous crime. The incident occurred on May 19, and the verdict was delivered 19 days later.
