The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 428 individuals and filed 50 cases during extensive anti-crime operations conducted across Dhaka over the past 24 hours. According to a DMP media release, the arrests were made in various divisions of the city, including Ramna, Lalbagh, Wari, Motijheel, Tejgaon, Mirpur, Gulshan, and Uttara. The police seized a significant amount of contraband, including 18.25 kilograms of cannabis, 2,120 yaba tablets, 353 bottles of phensidyl syrup, three grams of heroin, and various other items such as mobile phones, a Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) identity card, walkie-talkies, and drug paraphernalia. These operations are part of the DMP's ongoing campaign to combat crime in the capital. Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are currently underway.
