Sewing machines, corrugated tin sheets, and sports equipment were distributed among underprivileged families and local sports teams in Bagerhat today. The distribution programme took place at the Bagerhat Sadar Upazila Parishad premises. Bagerhat-2 lawmaker Sheikh Manjurul Haque Rahad attended as the chief guest.

The lawmaker handed over sewing machines to 26 women and corrugated tin sheets to 34 beneficiaries. Additionally, sports equipment including 50 footballs, 60 volleyballs, and 13 cricket kits were distributed among football teams from different areas of the upazila.

Bagerhat Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Atia Khatun chaired the programme. Among others present were Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr. Pradeep Kumar Baksi, Upazila Social Service Officer Sohel Parvez, other government officials, and beneficiaries.
