Rangpur Region Completes 43% of Aman Seedling Planting for Rice Cultivation

Aman rice seedling planting has reached 43% completion in the Rangpur agricultural region.

Aman rice seedling planting has already been completed on 43 percent of the target land in the Rangpur agricultural region, where farmers are continuing the process in full swing amid frequent rains. Officials of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) said farmers have already transplanted Aman rice seedlings on 2,67,267 hectares of land, 43 percent of the targeted land area for cultivation of the crop, till date. Additional Director of the DAE for Rangpur region Md Shirajul Islam said that farmers are likely to achieve the set farming target of Aman rice this season as transplantation of seedling continues amidst favorable climatic conditions in the region.
