The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 58 individuals during coordinated anti-crime operations across the Tejgaon division. The arrests, which took place during routine raids in crime-prone areas, are part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the capital. The suspects have been detained on various criminal charges and have been produced before the competent court for further legal proceedings.

According to a DMP press release, the arrests were distributed across several police stations within the division. Eight suspects were detained from Tejgaon Police Station, 10 from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 15 from Mohammadpur Police Station, 11 from Adabor Police Station, five from Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, and nine from Hatirjheel Police Station.

The DMP has been intensifying its efforts to combat crime in Dhaka, particularly in areas known for higher criminal activity. These operations are crucial for ensuring public safety and restoring community confidence in law enforcement.

The recent crackdown reflects the authorities' commitment to addressing criminal elements within the city. By targeting specific areas, the police aim to disrupt criminal networks and reduce the incidence of crime in the capital.
