The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 406 individuals and filed 47 cases in a 24-hour crackdown across the capital. The arrests included suspects from various divisions: 25 from Ramna, 30 from Lalbagh, 53 from Wari, 40 from Motijheel, 66 from Tejgaon, 116 from Mirpur, 31 from Gulshan, 39 from Uttara, and six by the Detective Branch.

Seized Items

During the operations, police seized a significant amount of contraband, including 21,622 yaba tablets, 961 bottles of phensedyl, 17.5 liters of locally made liquor, 760 grams of cannabis, and 13 grams of heroin. Additionally, authorities recovered a pick-up truck, a private car, eight mobile phones, a hammer, two machetes, a cleaver, an axe, a shovel, a knife, and Tk 309,000 in cash.
