In a targeted effort to maintain law and order, Dhaka police arrested 16 people during a special operation in the Jatrabari area on Monday. The Jatrabari Police Station led the operation as part of an ongoing drive against criminal activities.

According to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), those detained include suspects wanted in various regular criminal cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in other criminal activities. The operation is part of a broader initiative to ensure public safety in the capital.

Police have initiated legal proceedings against the detainees. The DMP stated that similar operations will continue in the future to uphold law and order.

Jatrabari, a bustling area in Dhaka, has seen increased police presence in recent months as authorities strive to tackle rising crime rates. This operation underscores the government's commitment to enhancing security and reducing criminal activities in urban centers.
